என் புகலிட வாழ்க்கையில் ,நியூ யோர்க் மாநகரத்து அகதியாக அலைந்து கொண்டிருக்கையில் பட்டி தொட்டியெங்கும் ஒலித்த இன்னுமொரு குரல் பாடகி சிந்தி லோப்பரினுடையது (Cyndi Lauper) பல் வர்ண ஆடை அணிகலன்களுடன் கூடிய அலங்காரம், நிறமூட்டப்பட்ட சிகையலங்காரம் இவை இவரது தனித்துவம் மிக்க அம்சங்கள். இதன் காரணமாக இவரது பாடசாலைக் காலத்தில் சக மாணவிகளின் தாக்குதல்களுள்ளாகினதாகவும் கேள்விப்பட்டிருக்கின்றேன்.

இவரது தாயார் இத்தாலியப் பின்னணியைக் கொண்டவர். தாயார் மறுமணம் செய்திருக்கின்றார். வளர்ப்புத் தந்தையின் தொல்லைகள் காரணமாகத் தனது 17 ஆவது வயதில் வீட்டை விட்டு ஓடியிருக்கின்றார்.
