முல்லைத்தீவு நீராவியடிப்பிள்ளையார் கோவிலுக்கு அண்மையில் நீதிமன்ற உத்தரவையும் மீறி மறைந்த புத்த துறவியின் உடலைத்தகனம் செய்திருப்பது நாட்டில் இனங்களுக்கிடையிலான நல்லிணக்கச் சூழலைச் சிதைக்கும் ஒரு நிகழ்வு. எழுபதுகளில், எண்பதுகளில் தமிழ் இளைஞர்கள், தமிழ் மக்கள் இலங்கையின் சட்டங்கள் தம்மைப் பாதுகாக்கவில்லை. பாரபட்சத்துடன் தம்மை அணுகுகின்றன என்று எண்ணினார்கள். இனக்கலவரங்கள், ஆயுதப்படைகளின் அடக்குமுறைகள் அவர்களை ஆயுதமேந்த வைத்தன. விளைவு நீண்ட யுத்தம். இன்று யுத்தம் மெளனிக்கப்பட்டு ஆண்டுகள் பத்தைக் கடந்த நிலையில் தமிழ்ப்பகுதிக்குள் தன் ஆதரவாளர்களுடன் நுழைந்த புத்த மதத்துறவிகள் நீதி மன்ற உத்தரவையும் மதிக்காமல் இறந்த புத்த பிக்குவின் உடலைத்தகனம் செய்திருக்கின்றார்கள். காவல் துறை பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றது.
இதற்கெதிராக நீதிமன்றத்தை நாடி நடந்தவற்றுக்கு நீதி கிடைக்க வேண்டும். சட்டத்தை மீறியவர்கள் தண்டிக்கப்பட வேண்டும் சும்மா வேடிக்கை பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்த காவல் துறையினர் உட்பட. இலங்கையின் சட்டமானது அனைவரையும் பாரபட்சமில்லாமல் நடத்துகின்றது என்பது நிரூபிக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
நடந்தவற்றுக்கு நீதி கிடைக்காவிட்டால் இன்றுள்ள இளம் சமுதாயம் மீண்டும் போராடத்தொடங்கும் சூழல் உருவாகும். அடுத்தமுறை இனவெறிபிடித்த புத்தபிக்குகள் இவ்விதம் தமிழ்ப்பகுதிகளில் வெறியாட்டம் ஆடுகையில் அவர்கள் தாக்கப்படும் சூழல் உருவாகலாம். பதிலுக்கு அவர்களுக்கு ஆதரவாகப் படையினர் தமிழர்களைத் தாக்கலாம். தென்னிலங்கையில் இனக்கலவரங்கள் தொடங்கலாம். மீண்டுமொருமுறை இலங்கை போர்ச்சூழலுக்குள் தள்ளப்படலாம். இவ்விதமான சூழலுக்குள் நாடு மீண்டும் தள்ளப்படும் சூழலை நீராவியடிப்பிள்ளையார் ஆலயத்தில் நடைபெற்ற சட்டமீறல்கள் ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளன. இதனால் நாட்டுக்கு ஏற்படக்கூடிய அபாயங்களை அனைவரும் உணர வேண்டும். இவ்விதமான அபாயச் சூழல் ஏற்படாமலிருக்க நடந்தவற்றுக்கு இலங்கையில் சட்டத்தின் முன் அனைவரும் சமம் என்பது நிரூபிக்கப்பட வேண்டும். சட்டத்தை மீறியவர்கள் தண்டிக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
இனவாதம் பேசிச் செயற்படும் புத்தமதத்துறவிகள் புத்த மதத்துக்குக் களங்கம் விளைவிக்கின்றார்கள். புத்தரின் கோட்பாடுகளுக்குக் களங்கம் விளைவிக்கின்றார்கள். இவர்களால் நாட்டில் இனங்களுக்கிடையில் ஏற்பட வேண்டிய நல்லிணக்கம் தடைபடுகின்றது. இலங்கையின் அனைத்தின மக்களும் , இன, மத, மொழி பேதமின்றி நடந்த சட்ட மீறலைக் கண்டிக்க வேண்டும். அதற்கு நீதி கிடைக்கப்போராட வேண்டும்.
இந்நிலையில் Burning Of The ‘Cancerous Body’ Of The Buddhist Bhikku At Mullaitivu என்னும் K. Anaga 'கொழும்பு டெலிகிறாப்'பத்திரிகையின் 24.9.2019 பிரதியில் எழுதிய கட்டுரை வரவேற்கத்தக்கது. எழுபதுகளில், எண்பதுகளில் வட,கிழக்கில் தமிழ் மக்களுக்கெதிராகச் சட்டமீறல்கள் நடைபெற்ற சமயங்களில், சொந்த மண்ணிலேயே தமிழ் மக்கள் அவமானத்தால் கூனிக்குறுகிய சமயங்களில் தென்னிலங்கை ஊடகங்களில் அவற்றைக் கண்டித்துக் கட்டுரைகள் அதிகம் வெளியானதாக நினைவில்லை. ஆனால் இன்று இவ்விதமான கட்டுரைகள் தென்னிலங்கை ஊடகங்களில் வெளிவருவது இனவாதிகளை மக்கள் மத்தியில் தோலுரித்துக் காட்ட உதவுகின்றன.
மேற்படி கட்டுரையில் மிகவும் கடுமையாகக் கட்டுரையாளர் கே.அனகா இனவாத புத்தபிக்குகளின் செய்லைக் கண்டித்துள்ளார். அக்கட்டுரையில் அவர் தெரிவித்திருக்கும் கருத்துகள் சிலவற்றைக் கீழே தருகின்றேன்:
1. புத்தபுக்குகளின் இவ்விதமான அணுகுமுறை கவனிக்கப்படாமல் விடப்படுமானால் இது பேரழிவினைத்தரும் விளைவுகளுக்கு வழிவகுக்கும். ஏற்கனவே கதிர்காமக் கந்தனுடன் தமிழில் தமிழர்கள் தொடர்புகொண்டு தம் வேண்டுதல்களைப்பெற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியாத அளவுக்குக் கதிர்காமக் கந்தன் சிங்களமயப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளார். அதிக நம்பிக்கைகளுடன் கதிர்காமத்துக்கு விஜயம் செய்து இறுதியில் எதனையும் பெற முடியாமலிருப்பது உண்மையில் பரிதாபத்துக்குரியது.

Already Kathirkamam’s lord Murga has been Sinhalalised to an extent that the Tamil Hindus are unable to communicate with Lord Murga in Tamil and get their favours granted. After visiting Kathirkamam with lots of hope and ending up with nothing, is a pity indeed. )
2. இந்து சம்பந்தரினதும், ஆங்கிலிகனான சுமத்திரனினதும் பெளத்தரான ரணிலினிடத்தினிலான சரணாகதியானது திருத்தப்பட முடியாத அல்லது சீர்படுத்த முடியாத சேதத்தினைத் தமிழர்களுக்கு ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. (The surrender of the Hindu Sampanthar and the Anglican Sumanthiran to the Buddhist Ranil has resulted in irreparable damage to the Tamils.)

Burning Of The ‘Cancerous Body’ Of The Buddhist Bhikku At Mullaitivu

Once again the dead Bhikkus have become the talk of the town and a ‘burning’ issue too.
The first one was that of the Ven. Meegahajandura Gunaratna whose dead body was taken in circles and finally ‘burnt’ at the Jaffna esplanade with the blessings of the Magistrate, who heard the case against the burning of the body at the Jaffna esplanade. (Please refer my article ‘Funerals’ which appeared in the Colombo Telegraph of 2/5/18 in reply to Mr Jehan Perera’s writing in the LMD magazine of March 2018.)
Now, the ‘cancer’ of burning the dead body of another Bhikku has spread to Mullaitivu, that too in the premises of the Pillaiyar Temple (Ganadeyo Temple)Who is revered by Buddhists too to obtain personal favours, as lord Buddha apparently does not believe in granting favours to his devotes – rightly so. In Jaffna the magistrate condoned the actions of the army who seem to have their way and the Magistrate appear to have succumbed to it.
It appears that the Srilankan Buddhists have passed a ‘No- confidence’ motion on Lord Buddha as far as their demand for favours are concerned.
But, in Mullaitivu, the Magistrate ruled against the action by led by Galagoda Atte Gnassara Thera, who had been let loose by our yahapalanaya president to commit more sins under his protection. The Magistrate ordered the ‘Cancerous Body’ be burnt outside the boundaries of the Pillaiyar temple. Nevertheless, the jurisdiction of the court was deliberately violated by the Armed Forces, Police Service, Lord Buddha’s Representatives- the Hamudurus, and the people who were encouraged by the Trio to desecrate the ‘Gods Little Acre’ by burning the ‘Cancerous Body’ in the temple premises.
I have deliberately used the word ‘burning’ instead the word ‘cremation’ purely because the latter is too good a word to be used on those who believe in the spread of ‘cancerous impunity’ which cannot be controlled even by chemotherapy. It may only be treated by amputation of the affected part –the head and the brain within, if they have one.
‘Cancer’ of burning has spread from Jaffna to Mullaitheevu and from Mullaitheevu it may spread to Kanniya in the Trincomalee District, where hot wells are situated with a Pillayar Temple within the premises.
The people, who refresh themselves after a warm water bath of varying temperatures, worship the Pillaiyar and leave the place with great psychological satisfaction. Even, the Sinhala Buddhists bathers’ worship the said Pillayar after their bath, without any apparent inclination to capture the premises and plant the statue of Lord Buddha. However, in the recent past Hamudrus want to demolish the Pillayar temple and plant lord Buddha’s statue, convert it into an exclusive Buddhist place of worship and claim ownership to the premises despite the fact a lady has documentary evidence to prove its ownership.
It is rather unfortunate that ‘Pillaiyar’ and Lord Buddha are dragged into legal battles to ascertain the ownership of their ‘residence’.
If this type of attitude of the Hamudurus are left unchecked, it could lead to disastrous consequences. Already Kathirkamam’s lord Murga has been Sinhalalised to an extent that the Tamil Hindus are unable to communicate with Lord Murga in Tamil and get their favours granted. After visiting Kathirkamam with lots of hope and ending up with nothing, is a pity indeed.
It is similar to Tamil speaking people visiting some of the government departments to get their needs attended to and return with empty hands, due to language difficulties.
The surrender of the Hindu Sampanthar and the Anglican Sumanthiran to the Buddhist Ranil has resulted in irreparable damage to the Tamils.
I believe in the democratic right of any one to practice his/her religion without fear or hindrance. However, I am opinion that a religion is not necessary for man to exist but man is necessary for religion to exist, despite the resulting chaos.
More crimes have been committed in the name of religion rather than without it.
