M. Karthigesan was one of the Founder Members of the Sri Lanka Communist
Party. A great patriot and a staunch humanitarian. He was called 'Karthi'
by party comrades and fellow teachers with affection. His students addressed
him as 'Karthar' with much respect and love. He continues to live in the
heart of all his compatriots. A book releasing ceremony devoted to the
Memory of Com. M. Karthigesan is to be held on Sunday, August 24, 2003
at 5.30 p.m. at the Scarborough Civic Centre
Com. Karthi's party comrades, friends, relatives
and media and other well wishers are cordially invited to attend this commemoration
meeting to honour a great man with a great vision and great ideals.
As it is not feasible to extend invitations
to all of Karthi's innumerous comrades, friends, relatives and aquaintances,
we kindly request you to accept this open invitation and kindly grace the
occasion.
