Rajabakshe's Indian Visit!

friends! Srilankan President Mr.Mahinda Rajabakshe is scheduled to
visit India on 26th November to inaugurate the Asian Mayors
Conference at Deharadun.He is coming on the invitation of
Smt.Manorama Dobriyal Sharma.Smt Sharma is the Mahila congress
President of The Uttaranchal
Pradesh Congress Committee and also an AICC member.She won the Mayor election with a margin of 4000 votes over her BJP rival in 2003 and became the mayor of Dehradun.She is the president of All India Council of Mayors(AICM) too.
I hope that you are well aware of the sufferings of Tamil people in
Srilanka and the protests raised by various political parties of
Tamilnadu including ViduthalaiChiruthaikal (DPI) over the Rajabakshe's
visit.Now the six and half lakh tamil population of jaffna is under
the threat of starvation death after the closure of A9 highway-the
main supply route to the Tamil area.Srilankan government is using
hunger as a weapon in the war against the Tamils.
Meeting the Indian Prime Minister is the main purpose of Mr.
Rajabakshe.His intention is to get military aid from India for the
ongoing war in Srilanka.I request you to send a telegram to
Smt.Manorama Sharma asking her to respect the sentiments of the Tamils
and cancel the invitation extended to the Srilankan President.the
